The Quiet Campaign and Gift / Pledge Form
A New Opportunity
Through the generosity of an anonymous donor, all new contributions and pledges to the Quiet Campaign Fund will be matched one-to-one up to $100,000!
Therefore, raising $100,000 in new money will provide an equal amount for the Quiet Campaign Fund and help sustain the Foundation. Certainly we would like to meet and even exceed the $100,000 challenge! Your financial support is vital if we are to take advantage of this one-time opportunity. |
Quiet Campaign Fund
The Quiet Campaign Fund was established to provide operating capital for the Foundation’s strategic development. All Foundation Board members made their own contributions to the fund and asked others to join them in supporting the Foundation. A small group of individuals and businesses were asked for their financial support. More than $300,000 was raised, with an additional $200,000 needed to complete underwriting of operating expenses for the next few years.
Achievements
As a result of the funds already raised, we:
- Hired our first, full-time, experienced professional community foundation president
- Created 6 new funds in the last two years
- Awarded more than $500,000 in grants and scholarships in 2006
- Introduced the Foundation and its philanthropic opportunities to new legal and financial professionals
- Raised the awareness of the Foundation through marketing and publicity
- Conducted educational programs for legal and financial advisors
- Obtained new office space
Two achievements occurred sooner than anticipated—securing new office space and adding a part-time administrative assistant.
Giving to the Quiet Campaign
Current gifts and four-year pledges are encouraged. Cash, appreciated securities, and tangible personal property, may be given to the Campaign. Donors—individuals, families, businesses, corporations, and private foundations—to the Campaign will enable the Community Foundation to move to a new level of leadership and service in philanthropy to the Delaware County community.
Goals
Completing the Quiet Campaign is a priority and will provide the operating capital to enable the Foundation to achieve the following: - Increase the community endowment—a permanent source of funds—for the long-term needs of local people and the nonprofit organizations that serve them by building a $12 million endowment.
- Be a resource to legal and financial professionals in Delaware County and Central Ohio in meeting their client’s charitable goals.
- Attract 10 new named funds at the Community Foundation each year.
- Secure planned gift commitments from at least 20 people by the end of 2009.
- Increase grants and scholarships beyond $500,000 per year by the end of 2009.
